Thomas Bexon and Jake Bowrey, aka Cutlap, are returning to the Shapers Club House in Marennes from July 25th for an exceptional two-week residency.
During this period, it will be possible to order a Thomas Surfboards board made in our workshop, with Thomas present on site for the shaping and Jake to oversee all the glassing, resin work, and finishing that define the identity of their boards.
Places are limited: reservations are open now via an online deposit.
Why book now?
Thomas Bexon and Jake Bowrey's visit to the Shapers Club House is a rare opportunity to order a Thomas Surfboards board under privileged conditions.
You won't just be ordering a board "from a catalog." You'll be reserving a spot in a limited production run, with personalized support from our team to define the right model, dimensions, and options based on your skill level, physique, surfing style, and the waves you surf most often.
Longboard, noserider, midlength, egg, fish, or shortboard: the goal is to help you choose a consistent, beautiful board adapted to your practice.
The guest shaper concept
At Shapers Club, we regularly invite renowned shapers to come and work directly in our workshop in Marennes.
This is the principle of the guest shaper: for a short period, the shaper is present on site, interacts with the team, works in the workshop, and participates in the creation of limited edition or custom-ordered boards.
This format brings customers, shapers, and the workshop closer together. It also provides access to rare boards, locally made, with the expertise of the Shapers Club House and the identity of the guest shaper.
Who is Thomas Bexon?
Based in Noosa, Australia, Thomas Bexon is one of the most followed shapers in the contemporary longboard scene.
His boards are known for their balance between classic lines, fluid glide, and a modern approach. Thomas crafts elegant, precise, and enjoyable boards to surf, designed to offer style, control, and genuine sensations underfoot.
His world isn't limited to longboards. His range also includes midlengths, eggs, fish, and shortboards, always with the same exacting standards in curves, volumes, and finishes.
Who is Jake Bowrey, aka Cutlap?
Jake Bowrey, better known as Cutlap, is an integral part of the Thomas Surfboards universe.
He is renowned for his glassing work, tinted resins, cut laps, finishes, and attention to detail. His approach gives the boards a strong visual identity, combining artisanal precision with a distinct surf aesthetic.
The presence of Thomas and Jake together at the Shapers Club House allows for this complementarity between shaping, glassing, and finishing to be rediscovered.
