Who is Tyler Hatzikian?
Tyler Hatzikian is a Californian shaper, an international reference in longboarding. From his workshop in El Segundo, he has built a reputation on one precise thing: precision. Clean lines, a subtle understanding of glide, traditional logs as well as high-performance longboards — every board is designed to the millimeter. In a field where many shapers exist, few reach this level of mastery. Tyler has been there for a long time.
His range goes from traditional logs to retro fish and mid-lengths — boards sought after all over the world. And for once, there's no need to cross the Atlantic to order one.

Trim, tight turns, committed surfing. The longboard for those who get bored at the nose.
Designed in the spirit of the very last longboards of the sixties — those that were shaped just before the shortboard cut things short. Wide, lively tail, to be ridden six inches shorter than usual. The wide body generates natural glide and remarkable trim acceleration. Combined with Tyler's famous signature fin with aeronautical influences, it creates a truly reactive board from the tail. A longboard for those who want to stay in the pocket and impose their interpretation of the wave.

Point
Balanced trim and noseride. Ideal on long-period point breaks.
Same rocker as the Craftsman, finer outline. The Point is the shape for those who trim as much as they noseride — and want it to look good. The tail curve allows for a narrower outline: the board sinks easily into the pocket, turns are projected without resistance. The Point maximizes tip-riding on waves with a distinct pocket, while remaining stylish and effective in rotation.

Riddler
Extended noserides, sharp turn exits. For those who want to understand.
Six feet of concave underfoot, a blunt nose, a step deck and wing tail. The Riddler contradicts everything we think we know about noseriding — and it works. The short, straight nose leaves more rail in the face, less floor above the wave. The concave, combined with a parallel rail, creates suction that locks the surfer at the front. The reduced and refined tail makes turn exits lively and crisp. A shape for curious minds.

Hairpin
All-terrain mid-length, from point break to shore break. Single or 2+1.
A mid-length that sacrifices nothing: neither forward trim, nor cheater fives, nor tight surfing in the pocket. The Hairpin turns harder and shorter than anything known in this length. Available in single fin or 2+1, it absorbs varied conditions — perfect point break, fickle beach break — without ever changing its character. Most mid-lengths are driven by the tail. The Hairpin, however, is surfed from front to back.

Deuce
Classic keel fish. Lively, generous, different.
Tyler designed this keel fish in the early 90s. A no-compromise shape — forward wide point, soft panel V, tucked rails, deep 5½" swallowtail. The Deuce surfs exactly as it looks: lively, gliding, unpredictable in a good way. The V under the board generates natural side release. The keels do the rest. A shape for those who want something different — and who own it.

You have carte blanche — model, dimensions, design, options. Tyler shapes, and we glass and finish the board according to the rules of the art, right here in Marennes. You'll leave with a unique piece, signed by a master, assembled with Shapers Club excellence.
How to Reserve Your Board
It's simple, and it's happening now — shaping slots are limited.
- You book your spot. A deposit of €500 reserves your slot in Tyler's shaping schedule.
- We'll call you within 24 hours. The team will contact you to build your project with you: model, dimensions, design, options.
- Tyler shapes, we finish. He handcrafts your board; we glass and finish it at the workshop.
- You pay the balance upon delivery (on-site pickup) or before shipping.

How Much Does It Cost?
Prices depend on dimensions and finish (CNC or hand shape). As a guide, longboards start around €2,025 for CNC and €2,210 for hand shape, and increase with size for larger boards. Hand-shaped mid-lengths are available upon consultation.
Possible options: tinted resin, spray, gloss & polish, volan, glass-on fins, pinstriping, special stringer, wooden tailblock… The full quote will be made with us, based on your project.
